Kurzweil 3000: The Kurzweil 3000 is a reading software program that assists individuals with learning disabilities. This software can scan printed text and read it back to the user.
PDF Equalizer: Allows PDF file formats to be read to the user or converted to audio for use with the student’s personal MP3 player or IPOD.
Word Processors: One of our testing rooms is equipped with two computers for students who require such accommodations for examinations.
Digital Voice Recorder: This recording device allows the student to record up to 144 hours of audio and store in up to four folders.
Victor Vibe Reader: Small talking books player for use with audio CDs borrowed through Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic.
Franklin Med-Spell: This handheld speller phonetically spells close to 150,000 words from Stedman’s Medical Dictionary.
Franklin Spelling Ace: This handheld device helps the user achieve proficiency in spelling and maximize vocabulary with its spell correction feature and Thesaurus.
Calculators: TI-83 or basic Scientific calculators are available for use.
