SUNY Canton to host 8th Annual Kangaroos Golf Classic
(Canton, N.Y.)-The SUNY Canton athletic department will host the 8th Annual Kangaroos Golf Classic on August 15 at the Partridge Run Golf & Country Club. The tournament will be a captain-and-crew format with an 11 a.m. shotgun start. All proceeds generated from the tournament will go towards the athletic program and SUNY Canton student-athletes.
Victory Promotions and the St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union will once again serve as corporate sponsors of the tournament.
The cost is $65 per golfer which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, a tournament gift and gift bag, a hot dog and drink on the course and a steak dinner provided by Mulligans Restaurant.
Teams will be flighted based on handicaps and teams may be all male, all female, or mixed. There will be prizes for the top three teams in each flight as well as closest to the pin, longest and straightest drives, a shootout for cash, putting contests and new this year PAR 3 POKER FOR A CASH PAYOUT! Hit the green with your drive on the par-3s, select up to two cards per team, and the team with the highest poker hand at the end wins a cash prize!
There will also be hole-in-one prizes on all Par-3s including a golf getaway vacation package to historic Pebble Beach Resort in California sponsored by TJ Toyota of Potsdam.
The deadline to enter is July 24.
