(Canton, N.Y.)- Senior Dustin Deleel (Massena, N.Y.) had two outstanding seasons manning the net as a goalie on the men's ice hockey team and he has now received recognition for his work off the ice. Deleel was named to the Academic All-Region III Team and was also named a Distinguished Academic All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Deleel received an associate's degree in criminal justice this past May with a 3.9 grade-point average. In his two seasons, Deleel appeared in 45 games and recorded a 3.4 goals-against average and a .891 saves percentage.

At the SUNY Canton men's athletic recognition banquet this spring Deleel was awarded the prestigious Alden C. Chadwick Memorial Leadership Award for his contributions on and off the ice.
