Small logo (Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team had it's five-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night as North Country Community College escaped with a 1-0 win over the Roos at the Canton Pavilion. SUNY Canton is now 3-2 in Region III and 5-3 overall while the Saints improved to 3-2 in Region III and 5-2 overall.

The Roos had their chances towards the end of regulation to tie the game when the Saints were whistled for two penalties in the final two minutes of the game. SUNY Canton pulled goalie Jimmy Merrow for a three-man advantage but couldn't tally the equalizer after a good penalty kill by the Saints.
