Talamo Scores Twice Guiding Roos Past RIT 6-2

Small logo(Canton, N.Y.)- Mark Talamo (Oswego, N.Y.) scored two goals helping to power the SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team past RIT 6-2 Friday night at the Canton Pavilion. The Roos improved to 10-6-2 and the two teams will hook up again on Saturday at 2:30.

SUNY Canton scored two goals in the first period and then unloaded for four more in the second to capture the win.

Mark Stewart (Gansevoort, N.Y.) added a goal and two assists for the Roos. Garrett Rosenbaum (Charleston, S.C.) and Kyle Simonds (Binghamton, N.Y.) each had a goal and an assist. Mike Pearman (Anaheim, Calif.) contributed a single goal and Jimmy Merrow (Plainsboro, N.J.) stopped 34 of 36 shots in goal.

Mark Voss and Michael Hayes each scored for RIT and Kent Weaver recorded 32 saves.
