(Canton, N.Y.)- Three members of the SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team have received accolades from the Eastern Collegiate Hockey League. Freshman Darren Camp (Canton, N.Y.) was named to the all-Rookie First Team, junior Scott Zaryski (Oswego, N.Y.) made the ECHL all-tournament Second Team and junior Mark Talamo (Oswego, N.Y.) was named an ECHL Academic All-Star.

Camp played in all 30 games this year and led the Roos in goals (16) and points (27) and tied for the team-lead in power play goals (6) and unassisted goals (3). Zaryski played in 20 games and ranked third among Roos defensemen with three goals and 10 points.

Talamo, a business major, tied for third on the team in scoring with nine goals and 24 points and was second in the country among ACHA Division I players with five game-winning goals.

The Roos completed their first year in the ACHA finishing 24-6 and advancing to the ECHL semifinals. At one stretch the Roos won 20 straight games.
