Small logo Men's Ice Hockey Rallies Past RIT 4-1

(Rochester, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team remained unbeaten to start the season as they downed RIT 4-1 Saturday afternoon in Rochester. The Roos are now 4-0 in their first season in the ACHA.

RIT struck first just 1:24 into the game when Michael Saitta scored from Thomas Miodus.

That score would hold until the 7:00 mark of the second period when Andrew Royce (Somers, Conn.) tied the game with his first goal of the season. Darren Camp (Canton, N.Y.) then scored the game-winning goal at the 12:32 mark and the Roos led 2-1 after two periods.

Joel Cardinal-Shultz (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) scored a short-handed goal in the third period and Kevin O'Connell (Cadyville, N.Y.) added an empty-net goal with 52 seconds left in the game.

Dustin Deleel (Massena, N.Y.) recorded 30 saves for the Roos.

Andrew Miller had 40 saves for RIT.
