(Oswego, N.Y.)- A five week layoff didn't seem to affect the SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team as they picked up where they left off last semester winning their 11th straight game as they doubled up SUNY Oswego 8-4 Friday night. The Roos improved to 15-5 overall.

SUNY Canton held a slim 3-2 lead after the first period and then pumped in three more goals in the second period to take control of the game.

Dan Cibelli (Liverpool, N.Y.) and Pat Otwell (Orchard Park, N.Y.) each supplied two goals to lead the Roos. Cibelli also had two assists.

Mark Talamo (Oswego, N.Y.) and Darren Camp (Canton, N.Y.) added a goal and an assist apiece and Eric Cook (Cary, N.C.) and Garrett Rosenbaum (Charleston, S.C.) added single goals.

Jimmy Merrow (Plainsboro, N.J.) won his eighth game of the year stopping 21 shots in goal.

Greg Distin scored two goals for the Lakers. Dustin Kennedy and Eric Zerrahn each added a goal and an assist apiece and Anthony Sellitti stopped 28 shots in goal.
