(Randolph, N.J.)- Seven different players scored a goal as the SUNY Canton men's hockey team beat County College of Morris 7-2 Saturday afternoon in Randolph, N.J.

The Northstars (2-0) skated out to a 4-0 lead through the first period and eight minutes into the second period on goals from Pat Semeraro (Cortland, N.Y.), Jeremy Kolb (Rush, N.Y.), Nick Emmick (Richford, N.Y.) and Josh Gilson (Canton, N.Y.).

The Titans (3-1) finally got on the board with 7:37 left in the second period when Ed Janta scored from Ryan Zionick.

Matt Battaglini (Endicott, N.Y.) scored again for SUNY Canton in the second period and then Kyle Laurie (Canton, N.Y.) and Adam Levy (Penfield, N.Y.) tacked on goals in the final period to complete the scoring for the Northstars.

Laurie, Emmick, Gilson and Battaglini each added an assist. Levy and Maik Tatavosian (Irvine, Calif.) both had two assists and Matt Bailey (Parishville, N.Y.) supplied three assists.

Spencer Utman (Brockville, Ontario) made his first start in goal for SUNY Canton and made 15 saves in the win. Nick Rana also scored for Morris and Steve and Brandon Crappello combined to make 44 saves in goal.
