(Massena, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team was shut out by the Northwood School 8-0 Wednesday night at the Massena Arena in Massena.

The Northstars (5-4-1) were out shot 47-16 and Northwood killed off all five SUNY Canton power plays.

Spencer Utman (Brockville, N.Y.) made 22 saves while giving up five goals over the first period and 11 minutes of the second and Dustin Deleel (Massena, N.Y.) recorded 17 saves while allowing three goals the rest of the game.

Dustyn Zenner stopped all 16 shots he faced for Northwood, including two breakaways, one from Kyle Laurie (Canton, N.Y.) early in the game and another from Josh Gilson (Canton, N.Y.) late in the third period.

Mario Valery-Trabucco scored two goals for Northwood.  Andrew Starsczewski, Nick Sheehan and Tommy Capalbo each added a goal and an assist and Kyle Haas, Justin Benedict and Brett Hextall also scored.
