The Northstars (6-6-1 overall, 2-3-1 Region III), led 2-1 heading into the third period after Pat Semeraro (Cortland, N.Y.) and Kyle Laurie (Canton, N.Y.) scored in the second period.

The Vikings (4-6-1, 2-4) then scored four power play goals, including three with a two-man advantage, in the final period to skate away with the win.

Adam Levy (Penfield, N.Y.), Brandon MacDonald (Gouverneur, N.Y.), Anthony Gruppo (Williamsville, N.Y.), and Matt Bailey (Parishville, N.Y.) each had an assist and Dustin Deleel (Massena, N.Y.) recorded 22 saves in goal for SUNY Canton.

Brian Maher scored twice and assisted on another goal to lead Hudson Valley. Jeff Beecher also scored two goals, Eric Park had one and Brett Holmes added one goal and three assists. Devon Lent stopped 23 of 25 shots in goal for Hudson Valley.
