The Northstars (6-5-1) only score came with 10:50 left in the third period when Kyle Laurie (Canton, N.Y.) netted his team-leading ninth goal of the year from Adam Levy (Penfield, N.Y.) and Matt Bailey (Parishville, N.Y.).

Spencer Utman (Brockport, N.Y.) started in goal for SUNY Canton and made 24 saves while allowing seven goals. Dustin Deleel (Massena, N.Y.) played the entire third period and finished with 12 saves and gave up three goals.

Chris Wilcox, Jordan Pratt and Greg Haney each scored twice to lead NSA. Canton native Ryan Durocher and Aaron Raymo each had a goal and three assists and Martin Clarkson stopped 23 of 24 shots in goal.
