DeMars and Brauchle Honored by Sunrise Conference

(Canton, N.Y.)- Junior outfielder Jacques DeMars (Vermontville, N.Y.) and freshman pitcher Anthony Brauchle (Clay, N.Y.) have received weekly honors from the Sunrise Conference. DeMars was named Player of the Week and Brauchle was named Pitcher of the Week after leading the Roos to four wins in six games.

DeMars had a very productive week at the plate as he batted .521 (12-for-23), ripped a pair of home runs and two doubles, drove in eight runs and scored 11 times. DeMars leads the Roos in batting (.450), RBIs (13), runs (15), doubles (3) and home runs (3).

Brauchle pitched in two games. He had one strikeout and allowed one earned run and two hits in five innings in a loss at SUNYIT. He then struck out six batters and scattered four hits over five innings in a 14-4 win over the College of St. Joseph. Brauchle has recorded 13 strikeouts in 19 innings this spring.
