DeMars, Blair and Storie Receive Post Season Honors

(Canton, N.Y.)- Three members of the SUNY Canton baseball team have received post-season honors from the Sunrise Conference. Senior centerfielder Jacques DeMars (Vermontville, N.Y.) was named to the all-conference team and received a Gold Glove Award. Junior shortstop Adam Blair (Perth, Ontario) and freshman first baseman Justin Storie (Hammond, N.Y.) also received Gold Glove Awards.
Demars made the all-conference team for the second straight year as he finished sixth in batting (.400) and seventh in slugging percentage (.600). He drove in a team-high 23 runs and had three triples, a home run and a double along with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
Blair, who also pitched this spring, posted a .912 fielding percentage committing just six errors in 86 attempts. Blair batted .352 with 15 runs, eight RBIs and three doubles. On the mound he recorded 24 strikeouts in 26 innings.
Storie had a .957 fielding percentage with four errors in 92 attempts. He batted .204 with 12 runs, seven RBIs and four doubles and led the Roos with 31 strikeouts in 28 innings on the mound.
