Roos Shut Out By Vermont Tech 7-0 in Sunrise Conference Tournament

(Lynn, Mass.)-The SUNY Canton baseball team saw their season come to a close on Saturday as they lost to No. 3 Vermont Technical College 7-0 in the second round of the Sunrise Conference tournament at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass. The fourth-seeded Roos end their year at 4-14 and Vermont Tech will play again Saturday night against the winner of No. 1 Fisher College and No. 2 University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Blake Wright pitched a terrific game for the Green Knights as he fanned 11 batters and scattered five hits in the complete game shutout.
Justin Storie (Hammond, N.Y.) pitched the first three innings for the Roos and he allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts. Adam Blair (Perth, Ontario) yielded five runs on seven hits over four innings and Adam Levy (Penfield, N.Y.) pitched the eighth inning and gave up one run on one hit with one strikeout.
Levy also went 2-for-3 with a double at the plate and Nate Besaw (Massena, N.Y.) also doubled for SUNY Canton.
Jeff Savage pounded out three hits and drove in two runs for Vermont Tech.
