(Canton, N.Y.)- Three members of the SUNY Canton baseball team have been honored by the Sunrise Conference this week. Senior outfielder Jacques DeMars (Vermontville, N.Y.) was named Player of the Week and junior Adam Blair (Perth, Ontario) and freshman Justin Storie (Hammond, N.Y.) were named co-Pitchers of the Week.

DeMars is honored for the first time after leading the Roos to a 4-2 week. Demars batted an impressive .529 (9-for-17) with 14 RBIs, nine runs, six stolen bases, two triples and double. Jacques had a double, a triple and four RBIs in 16-0 win over St. Joseph. He also had three RBIs and three hits in the second game against the Fighting Saints and pitched one inning of relief in a 22-1 win. DeMars is fifth in the conference in batting (.409), RBIs (22) and slugging percentage (.636).

Blair and Storie shared the pitching award after shutting down the College of St. Joseph in impressive fashion.

Blair struck out seven batters and allowed just three hits and two walks in five innings in a 15-5 win. Blair is fourth in the conference with 21 strikeouts in 22 innings this season.

Storie fanned 10 batters and scattered six hits over five innings in an 11-1 win. Storie is second in the conference with 27 strikeouts in 23 innings this season.
