John and Valentin Honored by Sunrise Conference- 3;1/09-(Canton, N.Y.)- Junior forward Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.), junior guard Tony Valentin (Perth Amboy, N.J.) and the SUNY Canton men's basketball team all received honors from the Sunrise Conference. John was named to the all-Sunrise Conference First Team, Valentin made the second team and the Roos were awarded the Team Sportsmanship Award for the second straight year. Roos Roll Over Presque Isle 94-70- 2/22/09-(Potsdam, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's basketball team built a large first-half lead and never looked back as they ended their season with a convincing 94-70 win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle. The Roos swept the Owls and finished the year at 3-11 in the Sunrise Conference and 3-21 overall. Presque Isle dropped to 2-11 and 2-21 overall....Full
