(Utica, N.Y.)-James Morrison (Paisley, Scotland) dropped in five
3-pointers en route to a game-high 19 points leading the SUNY Canton
men's basketball team to a 73-68 win over Paul Smith's College in the
consolation game of the Wildcat Tip-Off Tournament at SUNYIT in Utica.
Morrison was 5-for-12 from beyond the arc and the sophomore also had four assists, three rebounds and three steals giving the Roos (1-3) their first win of the year.
Byron Jones (Glenarden, Md.), who was named to the all-tournament team, added 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Roos. Chris Jarvis (Bronx, N.Y.) collected 10 points and eight boards and Charles McCoy (Bronx, N.Y.) chipped in with seven points and four rebounds.
The Bobcats were led by Paul Dudek who recorded a double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds. Cory Foster added 13 points and six rebounds and Tom McGrath contributed 12 points and four assists.
