Roos Fall To Fisher 83-68

Small logo (Potsdam, N.Y.)- A strong second half surge allowed Fisher College to pull away to an 83-68 win over the SUNY Canton men's basketball team at Alumni Gym at Clarkson University on Saturday.

The Falcons (2-1 Sunrise Conference, 5-10 overall) led 36-34 at halftime but back-to-back layups from James Morrison (Paisley, Scotland) to start the second half put the Roos (0-3, 1-11) up 38-36.

After a free throw from Louis Williams and a basket from Stephen Rice put Fisher back up by three points, the Falcons then ripped off a 21-11 run over a seven minute stretch to capture the first ever meeting between the two schools.

Byron Jones (Glenarden, Md.) pumped in a career-high 23 points hitting 9 of 15 shots from the floor to lead the Roos. Jones also had four assists and three steals.

Andre White (Bronx, N.Y.) recorded his fourth double-double of the season for the Roos with 12 points and 10 boards. Charles McCoy (Bronx, N.Y.) added 15 points and six caroms and Morrison finished with nine points and six assists.
