(Potsdam, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's basketball team couldn't recover from a halftime deficit as they dropped an 81-65 decision to Clinton Community College Tuesday night at Alumni Gym at Clarkson University.

Byron Jones (Glenarden, Md.) scored over 20 points for their third straight game for the Roos (1-12) who fell behind 38-23 at the break. Jones matched his career-high with 23 points including four 3-pointers.

Andre White (Bronx, N.Y.) added 21 points for SUNY Canton and James Morrison (Paisley, Scotland) chipped in with eight.

The Cougars were led by Steven Thomas who shot 10 of 11 from the free throw line and finished with 23 points. Tory Bouyea added 19 points and David Wadas contributed 11.
