SUNY Canton (0-5 Sunrise Conference, 1-14 overall) trailed by seven points, 39-32, at halftime. Machias then came out in the second half and reeled off a 10-0 run to stretch their lead to 49-32.

The Roos did pull within three points at 60-57 with 7:30 remaining following a three-pointer from Che Terrazas (Rosenberg, Texas). But that's as close as the Roos would get as Machias then nailed back-to-back three pointers to put the game away.

Terrazas buried five three-pointers and finished with a season-high 16 points. Byron Jones (Glenarden, Md.) also scored 16 points and dished out three assists for the Roos.

Charles McCoy (Bronx, N.Y.) added 14 points, five assists and three rebounds and Andre White (Bronx, N.Y.) chipped in with seven points and nine boards.

Charles Calligan, the leading scorer in the Sunrise Conference, poured in 28 points, 17 coming in the first half, to lead Machias. Eric Righter had 17 points and three rebounds and Anthony McCoy contributed 13 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals.
