Men's Basketball Falls to Houghton in Turkey

(Houghton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's basketball team lost to Houghton College 62-35 Friday night in the opening round of the Houghton College Turkey Drive Classic. The Roos (0-4) will face fellow Sunrise Conference member Fisher College on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the consolation game. The Falcons lost to the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) 82-63 in the other semifinal.
Tony Valentin (Watertown, N.Y.) led the Roos with 11 points and seven rebounds. Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.) added nine points and three boards and Lowel Stevens (Bronx, N.Y.) contributed six points and three rebounds.
Yannick Anzuluni pumped in 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds for
the Highlanders (2-1). Kena Etale added 15 points, six rebounds and
three steals.
