Tony Valentin dished out six assists against Clarkson
Roos Dropped By Clarkson 86-50

(Potsdam, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's basketball team couldn't contend with Clarkon University's height advantage and deadly outside shooting as the Golden Knights handed the Roos an 86-50 loss Sunday night at Alumni Gymnasium. The Roos fell to 0-6 on the year as Clarkson improved to 4-1.
The Golden Knights raced out to a 19-0 lead just 6:13 into the first half and eventually led 49-23 at halftime. Clarkson buried nine of their 11 3-pointers in the first 20 minutes and shot 42 percent from behind the arc. The Golden Knights also held a 43-32 rebounding advantage.
Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.) and Lowell Stevens (Bronx, N.Y.) each scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Roos. Isaac Bushey (Lowville, N.Y.) added nine points and Tony Valentin (Watertown, N.Y.) had eight points and six assists.
Brandon Linton led three Golden Knights in double figures with 15 points,
six rebounds and five assists. Felix Llanos added 13 points and Keith
Murray contributed 11 points and five rebounds. Llanos and Murray each
buried three 3-pointers apiece.
