Small logo Roos Fall To Fisher 99-83

(Boston, Mass.)- Despite another double-double from Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.) the SUNY Canton men's basketball team lost to Fisher College 99-83 Sunday afternoon in Boston. The Roos are now 2-10 in the Sunrise Conference and 2-19 overall while Fisher, the top team in the league, improved to 10-1 and 17-10 overall.

John scored 11 points in each half and finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds. He was 8-for-17 from the field and also made two steals.

Tony Valentin (Perth Amboy, N.J.) added 18 points and six assists for the Roos. Jeff Grenier (Whitehall, N.Y.) scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed five rebounds. Josh Wilson (Chaumont, N.Y.) supplied 10 points and six rebounds and Deric Alston (Jacksonville, N.Y.) contributed nine points and three assists.

Brandon Hamilton poured in 43 points to lead five Falcons in double figures. Hamilton buried six 3-pointers and also had 11 rebounds and four assists. Louis Williams had 13 points and seven assists. Casey Pursell added 12 points and three boards and Dennis Norford chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.
