Roos Beaten by Vermont Tech 85-69

(Potsdam, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's basketball team lost to Vermont Technical College 85-69 Saturday afternoon at Maxcy Hall in Potsdam. The Roos dropped to 2-5 in the Sunrise Conference and 2-15 overall while the Green Knights improved to 5-4 and 9-7.
Silvon John (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 22 points and hauled in 16 rebounds to lead the Roos.
Tony Valentin (Perth Amboy, N.J.) added 18 points and six assists and Jeff Grenier (Whitehall, N.Y.) recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Sean Smith led three Vermont Tech players in double figures with 27 points and seven rebounds. Marquise King added 22 points and Odiri Emadu supplied 17 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals.
