Small logo Villani Top Finisher for Roos at North Country Invitational

(Potsdam, N.Y.)- Freshman Benjamin Villani (Syracuse, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the SUNY Canton men's cross country team at the North Country Invitational Tuesday afternoon at Clarkson University.

Villani finished the 6K race in 26th place in a time of 22:55.

Justin Forth (Gouverneur, N.Y.) and Byron Danis (Rensselaer Falls, N.Y.) followed right behind Villani in times of 22:57 and 22:59 respectively.

Alex Marroquin (Bloomingburg, N.Y.) finished in 48th place in a time of 25:53. Timothy Petrashune (Saranac, N.Y.) was 50th (26:48), Matt Sanford (Tupper Lake, N.Y.) was 51st (27:05) and Adam Benedict (Norfolk, N.Y.) was 58th (36:25). Andrew Sargrad of St. Lawrence University was the overall men's winner finishing in a time of 20:18.
