Roos Compete at Highlander Invitational

(Houghton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's cross country team competed in the Highlander Invitational at Houghton College on Saturday. The Roos, battling several injuries to their top runners, came in 12th place in the 8K race.

Justin Richardson (Pavilion, N.Y.) was the Roos top finisher as he came in 77th place out 132 runners in a time of 29:31.

Joel Landry (Malone, N.Y.) was the Roos next top finisher with a time of 31:25. Rounding out the team was Tyler Morse (North Creek, N.Y.) (35:22), Shawn Wakefield (Cohoes, N.Y.) (35:40), Bradley Hamilton (Salem, N.Y.) (36:35), and Alex Marroquin (Pine Bush, N.Y.) (39:19).

Rochester Institute of Technology won the overall men's championship. The Tigers claimed the top five slots in the race.
