Small logo (Utica, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men’s soccer team fell to SUNYIT 5-2 Wednesday afternoon in Utica. The Kangaroos dropped to 1-2 overall while the Wildcats improved to 2-1.

Five of the games seven goals came in the first 26 minutes. The Wildcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Brian Lynch scored off a cross from Dennis Owusu-Ansah in the sixth minute. Prince Sabatto (Saratoga Spring, N.Y.) tied the game for the Roos six minutes later when he connected from Afiba Moore (Brooklyn, N.Y.) for his first goal of the season. Repton Abrahams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) then game SUNY Canton their only lead of the game scoring an unassisted goal in the 15th minute. It was Abrahams second goal of the year.

The Wildcats tied the game off a goal from Owusu-Ansah in the 20th minute and then SUNYIT tacked on three more goals in the 27th, 54th and 63rd minutes for the final score.

Chris Hill (Watertown, N.Y.) notched four saves in goal for the Roos and Theron Lucas and Cory David combined for four saves for the Wildcats.
