(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton men's soccer team broke out of an early season scoring slump with a 5-2 win over Vermont Technical College Saturday afternoon in Canton.
The Roos (1-0 Sunrise Conference, 1-2-1) had been held scoreless through their first three games of the season but erased those memories by scoring the game's first three goals on Saturday.

Repton Abrahams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) made it 2-0 eight minutes later when he blasted a hard shot off the left post and into the net. Hicks scored again in the 36th minute from Abrahams and the Roos led 3-1 at halftime.
Bismark Ansah (Bronx, N.Y.) increased the lead back to two goals scoring in the 57th minute from Prince Sabatto (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and then after a Vermont Tech goal Sabatto scored from Moubarak Agoro (Bronx, N.Y.) for the final score.
Eamon Case (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) played the first half and didn't make a save and Chris Hill (Watertown, N.Y.) played the second half and had two saves.
