Hicks Leads Roos Past St. Joseph 4-0

(Canton, N.Y.)- Kevin Hicks (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) scored two goals and assisted on one other leading SUNY Canton past the College of St. Joseph in a Sunrise Conference men's soccer game in Canton on Sunday.
Hicks completed a solid weekend for the Roos, who picked up two conference wins improving to 2-0 and 2-2-1 overall, with four goals and an assist.
SUNY Canton scored three times in the first half. Alexis Rivas (Bronx, N.Y.) scored from Repton Abrahams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) just 44 seconds into the game. Abrahams then scored from Hicks in the 27th minute and Hicks scored his first goal in the 33rd minute and the Roos led 3-0 at halftime.
Hicks rounded out the scoring connecting from Dennis Salmon (Bronx, N.Y.) in the 75th minute.
Freshman Homero Flores (Mexico) recorded his first career shutout with two saves for the Roos.
Donald Purcell had nine saves for the Fighting Saints.
