(Utica, N.Y.)- Kristi Farrell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) netted 20 points
leading five players in double figures as the SUNY Canton women's basketball
team rolled over Jamestown Community College 90-36 in the opening round
of the Mohawk Valley Community College Tournament. The Roos will face
the winner of the Mohawk Valley and Word of Life game in the championship
game on Sunday.
Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) scored 14 points for SUNY Canton. Julie Vander Wiel (Malone, N.Y.) had 12 points and Michelle Taylor (Rome, N.Y.) and Lauren Ploof (Hammond, N.Y.) each added 11 points.
The Jaguars were led by Christine Sweitzer who scored 11 points. Jena Lynn added 10 points and Phylicia Portlow had eight.
