2007-08 Women's Basketball
November 27, 2007
(Potsdam, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's basketball team fell to
Daemen College 81-52 Tuesday night at Clarkson University's Alumni Gym.
The Roos are now 0-1 as all the games they have played prior to Tuesday do not count in their overall record. Four of their games have been against junior college teams and the other two have been against Canadian schools Durham and Mohawk College. In order for a Canadian school to count in your record they need to be a member of the Association of Universities and Colleges which they are not.
Erin Tulip (Constable, N.Y.) led SUNY Canton on Tuesday with 16 points and three assists. Lauren Ploof (Hammond, N.Y.) added 10 points, five rebounds and five assists. Kristi Farrell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) contributed seven points and Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) chipped in with six.
The Wildcats (2-3) were led by Sarah Bogardus who dropped in 27 points
and grabbed nine rebounds. Sarah Soroka narrowly missed out on a triple-double
with 16 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks. Mary Kate Wilson also
reached double figures finishing with 15 points and 11 boards.
