(Boston, Mass.)- The SUNY Canton women's basketball team used a fast start against Fisher College to hand the Falcons a 79-37 loss Sunday afternoon in Boston.

The Roos (9-1 Sunrise Conference, 9-8 overall) raced out to an 11-0 lead just four minutes into the first half and went on to a 43-14 lead at halftime.

Jackie Maynard (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) collected a double-double to lead the Roos with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Kristi Farrell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) added 14 points. Megan Davis (Hammond, N.Y.) had 11 points and seven rebounds and Lauren Ploof (Hammond, N.Y.) contributed six points, seven rebounds, eight assists and five steals.

The Falcons were led by Tiffany Beckman who drained three 3-pointers and scored 17 points. Brianna Roberts added seven points and four rebounds and Shatia Roberts grabbed 13 rebounds.
