(Canton, N.Y.)- Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) scored 26 points and Megan Davis (Hammond, N.Y.) added 22 as the SUNY Canton women's basketball team rolled over Vermont Technical College 90-48 Saturday afternoon at Burkman Gym at St. Lawrence University. The Roos ran their Sunrise Conference record to 7-0 and improved to 7-6 overall while Vermont Tech dropped to 2-5 and 6-9.

LaFave poured in 21 points in the first half including three of her four three-pointers in the game to stake SUNY Canton to a 57-18 lead at the break. The Roos shot 51 percent in that impressive first half and hit 5 of 8 shots from beyond the arc. The 90 points were also a season high for SUNY Canton.

LaFave added seven rebounds and Davis also had five rebounds and five steals.

Kristi Farrell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) contributed 18 points, four assists and three rebounds for the Roos. Lauren Ploof (Hammond, N.Y.) chipped in with 12 points, eight assists and six rebounds and Mindy Small (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) collected four points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals.

The Green Knights were led by Shannon Leland who dropped in 17 points and grabbed five rebounds. Eliza Wakefield added 10 points, eight rebounds and five blocks and Chelsea Carpenter added six points, four rebounds and three assists.
