Roos Fall to Houghton 69-46

(Potsdam, N.Y.)- SUNY Canton lost to Houghton College 69-46 in a women's basketball game at Clarkson University on Saturday. With the loss the Roos fell to 0-3 while the Highlanders won their opening game of the year.
SUNY Canton struggled on the offensive end shooting just 22 percent from the floor while Houghton, who led 38-21 at halftime, connected on 39 percent of their shots.
Teresa Morley (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) came off the bench to score a team-high 11 points for the Roos. Morley was 5 of 8 from the free throw line and she also grabbed six rebounds, four on the offensive end.
Brittany Kenyon (Hammond, N.Y.) added 10 points and five rebounds for SUNY Canton. Jackie Maynard (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) chipped in with nine points and three rebounds and Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) had six points and seven rebounds.
The Highlanders (1-0) were led by Ashley Dupler who had a terrific all-around
game with 12 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, six blocks and two assists.
Leah French added 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals and Shannon
Daugherty contributed 13 points, three rebounds and three assists.
