Roos Lose to Utica In Wildcat Tip Tournament

(Utica, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's basketball team lost to Utica College Friday night in the first round of the SUNYIT Wildcat Tip Off Tournament in Utica. The Roos (0-5) will play the host Wildcats on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Mindy Small (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) scored 11 points and dished out four assists for the Roos on Friday. Kristi Farrell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) added 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists and Alicia Abbey (Mayville, N.Y.) chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.
Jessica Berry led six Pioneers in double figures with 14 points and seven rebounds. Kathleen McGee, Mallory Davis, Laura Keating and Stephanie Nara each scored 12 points apiece.
