Roos Beat Fisher 71-44

(Potsdam, N.Y.)- Kristi Farrell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) scored 19 of her game-high 20 points in the first half leading the SUNY Canton women's basketball team past Fisher College 71-44 Saturday afternoon at Clarkson University. The Roos have now won three out of their last four games and improved to 2-0 in the Sunrise Conference and 3-10 overall. Fisher dropped to 0-3 and 2-13.
After giving up the first two points of the game to the Falcons Farrell nailed her first of four 3-pointers in the game launching the Roos on a 21-4 run. Farrell had 15 points during that run.
The Roos would stretch their lead to 21 points following a jumper from Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) with just over five minutes left in the half and took a 16-point lead into the locker room. SUNY Canton out scored the Falcons 38-27 in the second half to cruise to the win.
Farrell shot 7 of 11 from the field and also had four assists and two rebounds.
LaFave finished with 15 points and four rebounds. Brittany Kenyon (Hammond, N.Y.) supplied 12 points and three rebounds off the bench and Teresa Morley (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) added eight points and 11 rebounds, just missing her third double-double of the season.
Jessica Dicicco dropped in 15 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Falcons. Tiffany Beckman contributed 11 points and five assists and Leslie Wadhams had seven points and five rebounds.
