Roos Start Second Half Of Season With 57-51
Win Over Johnson State

(Johnson, Vt.)- The SUNY Canton women's basketball team kicked off the second half of their season with a 57-51 win over Johnson State in a non-conference game Friday night in Vermont. It was the Roos first win of the season as they improved to 1-9 overall.
SUNY Canton erased a five-point halftime deficit by out scoring the Badgers 28-17 in the second half.
Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) led the Roos with 15 points and five rebounds. Teresa Morley (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) also reached double figures for the Roos as she notched her first career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Brittany Kenyon (Hammond, N.Y.) added seven points and five rebounds for SUNY Canton and Mindy Small (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) supplied six points, six rebounds and two steals.
Staci Cutting scored 14 points and handed out three assists for Johnson
State. Claudia Martineau added 13 points and three boards.
