Roos Roll Over Vermont Tech 71-34

(Potsdam, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's basketball team rolled over Vermont Technical College 71-34 Saturday afternoon at Maxcy Hall in Potsdam. The Roos moved to 5-2 in the Sunrise Conference and 6-13 overall while the Green Knights dropped to 2-6 and 4-8.
Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) led the Roos with 20 points and four rebounds.
Jackie Maynard (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) added 14 points and two steals. Teresa Morley (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) contributed eight points and 12 rebounds and Brittany Kenyon (Hammond, N.Y.) chipped in with six points and Kristi Farrell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) supplied seven assists and six rebounds.
Eliza Wakefield had 17 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks for Vermont Tech. Ginny Purrier added six points and eight rebounds.
