Maynard and Davidson Receive Weekly Honors

(Canton, N.Y.)- Junior forward Jackie Maynard (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) and freshman forward Nicole Davidson (Hammond, N.Y.) of the women’s basketball team have been honored by the Sunrise Conference. Maynard was named co-Player of the Week and Davidson earned Rookie of the Week accolades for the second time this season.
Maynard, who shared the award with Kristen Violette of the University of Maine at Fort Kent, averaged 11.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals in a 1-1 week for the Roos. Maynard scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the year in a 57-51 win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Davidson averaged 9.5 points and 6.0 rebounds over the weekend for the Roos. Davidson came off the bench against Presque Isle to score 13 points and haul in eight rebounds.
