Roos Lose to Roberts Wesleyan 82-47 in Season Opener 11/13/09 (Rochester, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's basketball team opened their season Friday night with an 82-47 loss at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester. Freshman Abbey Shoen (Waddington, N.Y.) had an impressive college debut as the Madrid-Waddington graduate recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. LaFave, Kenyon, Vander Wiel and Morley Honored by Sunrise Conference 3/1/09 (Canton, N.Y.)- Sophomore forward Shannon LaFave (Ogdensburg, N.Y.), freshman guard Brittany Kenyon (Hammond, N.Y.), junior forward Julie Vander Wiel (Malone, N.Y.) and freshman forward Teresa Morley (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) have been honored by the Sunrise Conference. LaFave and Kenyon were both named to the all-Sunrise Conference Second Team. Kenyon was named Rookie of the Year and Vander Wiel and Morley received academic recognition.
