Conover and Richardson Lead Roos at SUNYIT
(Utica, N.Y.)- Freshmen Lorraine Conover (Oneida, N.Y.) and Justin Richardson (Pavilion, N.Y.) kicked off their collegiate careers in impressive fashion finishing in third and fourth place respectively at the SUNYIT Wildcat Invitational in Utica on Saturday.
Conover was the only member of the women's team to run and she recorded a time of 22:34 in the 5K race and Richardson finished the men's 6K race in a time of 21:09 leading the men’s team to a fourth place finish. There were 66 female runners and 84 male runners.
Junior Byron Danis (Rensselaer Falls, N.Y.), an all-Sunrise Conference runner last year, finished in 26th place in a time of 23:31. Freshman Joel Landry (Malone, N.Y.) placed 35th (24:00), freshman Shawn Wakefield (Cohoes, N.Y.) was 62nd (26:27) and freshman Tyler Morse (North Creek, N.Y.) was 69th (27:43).
