Niki Perkins had a goal and an assist on Sunday

(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's soccer team recorded their
second straight shutout on Sunday as they downed Vermont Technical College
4-0 at St. Lawrence University's North Country Field. The Roos moved
to 2-0 in the Sunrise Conference and 2-1 overall.
SUNY Canton scored two goals in each half. Shirley DuBrey (Saranac, N.Y.) opened the scoring from Niki Perkins (Potsdam, N.Y.) just four minutes into the game. DuBrey returned the favor to Perkins eight minutes later setting up the forward for her third goal of the weekend.
An own goal from the Green Knights made it 3-0 in the 61st minute and then Justine Monahan (Ellington, Conn.) finished the scoring with an unassisted goal with 13:52 left in the game.
Brenna Sexton (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) made one save for her fourth career shutout.
Jessica Arkley had a busy day for VTC as the freshman finished with 16 saves.
