Roos Edge Fort Kent 2-1

(Fort Kent, Maine)- Niki Perkins (Potsdam, N.Y.) scored two goals a minute apart leading SUNY Canton past the University of Maine at Fort Kent in a Sunrise Conference women's soccer game Saturday in Maine. The Roos improved to 2-0 in the Sunrise Conference and 3-1 overall while the Bengals fell to 1-1 in conference play and 4-2 overall.
The Roos trailed 1-0 heading into halftime after Sarah Nadeau scored for the Bengals from Angela Norsworthy in the 4th minute.
That lead held until the 33rd minute when Perkin scored her first unassisted. Perkins then netted the game-winning goal a minute later off an assist to Justine Monahan (Ellington, Conn.).
Aubrey Parrish (Greene, N.Y.) had five saves for the Roos and Kayla Daigle didn't have any saves for the Bengals.
