Roos Shut Down D'Youville College 2-0

(Buffalo, N.Y.)- Ashley Winfield (Fort Plain, N.Y.) and Justine Monahan (Ellington, Conn.) each scored a second half goal leading the SUNY Canton women's soccer team past D'Youville College 2-0 Saturday afternoon in Buffalo.
Winfield opened the scoring for the Roos (1-1) in the 67th minute when she connected for her first goal of the season from Niki Perkins (Potsdam, N.Y.). Monahan followed nine minutes later when she tallied her first of the year off an assist to Megan Davis (Hammond, N.Y.).
Aubrey Parrish (Greene, N.Y.) stopped nine shots in goal for her first career shutout for SUNY Canton.
Delisa Clifton had 11 saves for the Spartans (0-3).
