Roos Slip By Machias 3-2

(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's soccer team snapped a two-game slide with a dramatic, last-minute 3-2 win over the University of Maine at Machias Saturday in Canton. The Roos moved to 4-2 in the Sunrise Conference and 5-5 overall.
Jackie Maynard (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) scored two goals to lead SUNY Canton and her second goal came with just 1:06 left in regulation that carried the Roos to the win.
The game was evenly played throughout as each team generated nine shots and had two corner kicks.
Cristina Butler (Rochester, N.Y.) also scored for SUNY Canton and Aubrey Parrish (Greene, N.Y.) had 10 saves.
Erin O'Connor scored twice to lead the Clippers.
