Roos Fall to Fort Kent 6-1

(Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton women's soccer team dropped a 6-1 decision to the University of Maine at Fort Kent Saturday afternoon in Canton. The Roos fell to 4-3 in the Sunrise Conference and 5-6 overall while the Bengals stayed undefeated at 8-0 and 12-0.
SUNY Canton's lone goal came off the foot of Jackie Maynard (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) in the 57th minute. It was Maynard's third goal in the last two games. Cristina Butler (Rochester, N.Y.) picked up an assist on the goal.
Aubrey Parrish (Greene, N.Y.) had two saves through the first 68 minutes in goal and Jackie Sedlacek (Endicott, N.Y.) had three saves in 22 minutes in her first appearance in goal this season.
Whitney Sinclair, who leads the Sunrise Conference in scoring, led the Bengals with three goals and an assist. Theresa Biggs added two goals and an assist. Donike Ferriera also scored and Mindy Morneault had one save.
