Small logo Roos Suffer 1-0 OT Loss to SUNYIT

(Canton, N.Y.)- After a hard fought battle for 90 minutes it took SUNYIT less than two minutes in overtime to capture a 1-0 win over SUNY Canton in a non-conference women's soccer game on Wednesday in Canton.

After the game ended scoreless in regulation, the Wildcats two leading scorers ended the game just 1:57 into the extra session. Traci Bickelhaupt took a pass from Jane Burroughs deep in the offensive end and tucked a shot between Roos goalie Aubrey Parrish (Greene, N.Y.) and the right post for the games only goal.

The Roos, who were out shot 16-3, played a sound defensive game helped out by nine saves from Parrish and they also drew SUNYIT into seven offside calls.

Cynthia Deleon started for the Wildcats in goal and made one save in 33 minutes. Halie Tyler came on in relief and also had one save the rest of the way.
