Roos Drop First Conference Game 6-0 to Fort Kent

(Fort Kent, Maine)- It was a battle of Sunrise Conference unbeaten teams on Saturday and the University of Maine at Fort Kent came out on top as they beat SUNY Canton 6-0 in a women's soccer game in Northern Maine. The Bengals moved to 4-0 in conference play and 8-0 overall while the Roos dropped to 3-1 and 4-4 overall.
Fort Kent, the defending conference champions, out shot the Roos 32-8. SUNY Canton goalie Aubrey Parrish (Greene, N.Y.) had 14 saves.
Whitney Sinclair led the Bengals with two goals and two assists. Donike Ferriera added a goal and an assist and Mindy Morneault stopped five shots for the shutout win.
