Small logo (Canton, N.Y.)- The SUNY Canton softball team wrapped up their season on Sunday as they lost to Niagara County Community College 8-3 and 9-2 in Canton. The Roos end the year with a 7-13 overall record.

Erin Tulip (Constable, N.Y.) pitched two complete games for SUNY Canton. She struck out four and allowed nine hits and six walks in game one and then had two strikeouts and surrendered 10 hits and eight walks in the nightcap.

Shirley DuBrey (Saranac, N.Y.) and Angel Andriaccio (Shermen, N.Y.) each collected two hits in the first game. Sabrina Rose (Schenectady, N.Y.) tripled for the Roos and Tulip and Kristi Farrell (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) each added a double.

In game two, Tulip smacked a two-run triple and Alicia Abbey (Mayville, N.Y.) and Ashley Farmer (St. Regis, N.Y.) each contributed a single.

Erin Whitehead pitched both games for the Trailblazers. She stuck out six in the opener and fanned five more batters in the nightcap and allowed a combined 12 hits. Lisa Batt and Jessica Steel each laced a pair of singles and scored a run in the first game for Niagara and Batt added three more singles in game two.
